Quadpack celebrates the first anniversary of the acquisition of Louvrette

What happens when German technical excellence meets Barcelona creativity? Innovative solutions multiply, and are developed and produced in a sustainable, inventive and efficient way. This is one of the results of the "marriage" between beauty packaging manufacturer and distributor Quadpack and German manufacturer Louvrette, an unusual but highly successful alliance. Since the acquisition, which propelled Quadpack into Europe's Top 10 beauty packaging suppliers, much has happened.

Quadpack is now firmly established in Germany, Europe's second-largest market for cosmetics, as well as in Austria, Switzerland and Scandinavia. In addition, the Kierspe plant has become Quadpack's manufacturing center in the heart of Europe. The company is thus responding to market demand for localized supply, with no interruptions and shorter lead times, a lower carbon footprint and greater control, thanks also to the Spanish plants - Quadpack Plastics, Quadpack Impressions and Quadpack Wood.

Significant sums have been invested in the 8,500 m2 manufacturing facilities, including 0.5 million euros in molds and 0.3 million euros in a state-of-the-art assembly line. In addition, decoration and assembly capacities will be reinforced in 2021 to facilitate in-house late differentiation and increase agility.

Eight ranges comprising over 70 products have joined Quadpack's Q-Line family, drawing on Louvrette's expertise in sustainable product development and the art of injection molding. This close collaboration with Quadpack's designers and developers will deliver further eco-friendly innovations over the coming year, as part of the company's "positive-impact packaging" program.

The current portfolio includes a host of smart, modular solutions that can be shipped to any region for decoration and assembly, reducing time-to-market and promoting sustainable sourcing. This is particularly true of Louvrette's popular airless range, which is attracting interest beyond Europe, in the USA and Asia-Pacific, other regions where Quadpack is present.

Thanks to Quadpack's experience in mergers and acquisitions, the integration of Louvrette went smoothly, and the past year has been used to invest in the future and cultivate synergies between the teams.
Louvrette's arrival accelerates the realization of Quadpack's 2020-2025 strategy for each of its five pillars: global expansion, agility, sustainability, collaborative innovation and providing a great place to work.
Despite the effects of the pandemic, as a Quadpack company, 2020 is set to be an excellent year for Louvrette, with sales on track to be 10% higher than in 2019. Fabian Erlhöfer, Quadpack Country Manager for the DACH+ region and CEO of Louvrette, is not surprised. He remarked: "Both organizations already had the same passion for packaging, the same commitment to sustainable development and the same deep respect for their communities. These values, which have brought the two companies together, will drive their future as part of a global family ready to leave its mark on a global industry."
