Faced with the technological challenges of the 21st century, France is banking on innovation from its public research and businesses. Launched in 2019 to foster innovation, the Deeptech plan will be strengthened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During a visit to Lorraine on January 9, 2023, Sylvie Retailleau, Minister of Higher Education and Research, and Roland Lescure, Minister Delegate to the Minister of the Economy, Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty, in charge of Industry, announced an additional \u20ac500 million to support the development of disruptive innovations that will shape tomorrow's world.<\/p>

On this occasion, the ministers were keen to meet with university research companies, including Plant Advanced Technologies Pat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The discussion focused on technology transfer and the history of Pat since its creation in 2005. As a reminder, Plant Advanced Technologies Pat was created to exploit a technology developed by the Institut National Polytechnique de Lorraine-Inra, Pat plantes \u00e0 milire. Since then, the company has expanded to include five subsidiaries, two of which are dedicated to Deeptech (Temisis and Cellengo).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Bourgaud, Pat's Vice President, Research, commented: \"\u00a0Pat's ambition is to become a key player in the production of rare active ingredients with high health value, using disruptive technologies, and thus play an active role in strengthening the French bio-economic sector in the field of biotechnology. These advances have been made possible thanks to the joint efforts of our customers and the investors who have placed their trust in us, as well as the support of the public authorities - Europe, the French State and the Grand-Est Region - in our innovation efforts\". He gave special thanks to the French government for its financial support in promoting innovation for the benefit of France's startup ecosystem.<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
