The Cosmetic Valley competitiveness cluster opens a branch in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region and organizes the first edition of the brand new Lipids & Cosmetics conference in Bordeaux, in partnership with the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region, its Development and Innovation Agency (ADI-NA) and the Institut des Corps Gras (ITERG).
\n<\/u><\/u>The Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, which has been a partner of the Cosmetic Valley competitiveness cluster for the past three years, is home to more than 150 companies in the beauty industry, and boasts excellent expertise in the very specific field of lipids, which are eminently strategic for the cosmetics industry since 70% of the raw materials used in cosmetic emulsions are lipids (vegetable oils, fatty acids and alcohols, etc.) or lipid derivatives (emollients, emulsifiers), which provide stability, richness and efficacy. This expertise is backed by the Canejan-based Institut des Corps Gras (ITERG), which has become the European benchmark for the knowledge, analysis and technology of fatty substances.
\n<\/u><\/u><\/u>A major issue for the industry, innovation in the field of lipids will be at the heart of this new congress, dedicated to the latest research and innovations in the fields of skin physiology, oleochemical processes, extraction, purification and analytical techniques, as well as new formulation technologies based on lipid raw materials.<\/p>\n

<\/u><\/u><\/u>Some thirty high-level speakers are expected to take part in this scientific event.<\/p>
