The Universit\u00e9 catholique de l'Ouest (UCO) Bretagne Nord organized the 16th edition of its U'Cosmetics competition and symposium on March 13, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event brought together students, professionals and partners to discuss cosmetic innovation on the theme of \"man and cosmetics? Beauty of all kinds.\"<\/em> <\/p>

Competing students, in teams of 1 to 5, had to imagine and present an innovative cosmetics project in line with the event's theme. Three projects were rewarded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first Formulation Innovation Prize was awarded to the \"Les Cr\u00e2neurs\" project led by Laura Alexandre-Alexis, Jeanne Raison and Allan Scher Terefenko from IPIL (Lyon, 69).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Skull'timate, designed by Les Cr\u00e2neurs, is a solid cream dedicated to the care of bald heads. Its innovative shape and massaging pimples offer a unique sensory experience while stimulating microcirculation. Enriched with moisturizing, soothing, protective and microbiota-balancing active ingredients, it's a complete skincare product that sublimates and protects the skull. \"<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\u00c8ra\", a project by No\u00e9mie Soyer, ines herry, margot guillou and chlo\u00e9 tourneur from UCO Bretagne Nord (Guingamp, 22), was awarded the second prize for Innovation in Formulation, as well as the Philippe Collas prize - the public's favorite. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\u00c8ra et La feuille de rasage is an innovative galenic product in the form of a 2-in-1 sheet. It combines a creamy shaving foam and a moisturizing, soothing aftershave gel, countering the aggression caused by shaving. Men prefer the 2-in-1 approach and use few skincare products. With \u00c8ra, we're ushering in a new era that combines practicality and effectiveness, to satisfy their needs.\"<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first Innovative Concept Prize was awarded to \"Oxym\", a project led by Youna Offret, Jade Le Net, Aliz\u00e9e Pichon and Louann Merour from the University of Rennes (Rennes, 35).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"This cotton mesh cap uses microcapsules releasing natural active ingredients, such as oyster shell and nettle extract, to protect the scalp and promote hair growth. Refillable with a reactivating spray, it is comfortable, breathable and eco-designed, ideal for everyday use. An innovative product for a natural, effective hair solution.\"<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 17th edition of U'Cosmetics will take place on Thursday, March 19, 2026. The theme will be \"Well-aging cosmetics: what if cosmetics accompanied time instead of defying it?\"<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
