L'Or\u00e9al announces the extension of its artificial intelligence partnership with NVIDIA, with the ambition of accelerating and redefining beauty innovation through computational chemistry. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Integrating the machine learning platform\u00a0NVIDIA Alchemi<\/a>\u00a0at the heart of its Research & Innovation (R&I) ecosystem should enable L'Or\u00e9al to predict the behavior and interactions of molecules on an atomic scale.<\/p>

This partnership<\/a>, initiated with the optimization of L'Or\u00e9al's marketing and advertising activities, is now open to R&D for new scientific discoveries. It enables the group to simulate the performance of ingredients and their textures in a virtual environment. This gives L'Or\u00e9al scientists the ability to test thousands of variables simultaneously, dramatically reducing the time from laboratory concept to finished product. The result: a discovery process 100 times faster, and a more agile innovation method that maximizes the potential of the Group's proprietary active ingredients in protecting skin and preventing premature aging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The initiative is currently focusing on two key scientific areas for skin: photoprotection and complexion modulation. The use of NVIDIA Alchemi will enable optimal formulations to be identified in a digital environment, even before they are physically formulated in the laboratory.
