Beauty Fab event. Techno Challenge: Data, industrial performance and environmental impact monitoring

The Beauty Hub is a national program created for and by the perfume and cosmetics industry. 

The aim of this third-party venue is to bring together all the players in the sector's value chain: equipment manufacturers, SMEs, startups and major groups, in order to promote exchanges, partnerships and French production. 

The Beauty Hub is designed to help French companies develop through innovation.

It is run by Cosmetic Valley and nine of its companies (Aircos, Aptar, Chanel, I3DP, L'Oréal, LVMH, MS Beautilab, Nippon Shikizai and Yves Rocher) around 3 services: 

  • Beauty Up : An acceleration program dedicated to supporting innovative startups in the cosmetics/perfumery sector 
  • Beauty Exp A prototyping center based on additive printing technologies 
  • Beauty Fab A technology laboratory dedicated to innovation in cosmetics manufacturing processes

Focus Beauty Fab

The Beauty Fab, a 60 m² technology laboratory in Chartres for equipment manufacturers, is a showcase for technologies and demonstrations. 

This available space is open to all equipment manufacturers in order to : 

  • Showcase your existing technologies
  • Test the applicability of your equipment to the cosmetics industry
  • Launching a discussion on a major technological issue 

It is also intended for manufacturers in the sector to :

  • Attend demonstrations of new equipment
  • Participate in focus groups on technological topics
  • Benefit from an equipped formulation area

The Techno Challenge program

Three presentations (available online):

  • Is it essential to monitor data on the development, transposition and industrialization stages of cosmetic products? Fabienne MICHEL, Manufacturing Method Industrialization Manager, Groupe Rocher
  • What is Data? How to qualify and exploit it?  Alina CRUDU, Digital R&D Engineer at l'Oréal
  • Can industrial equipment be an ally in data tracking for industrial performance and environmental impact monitoring? José CHEIO DE OLIVEIRA, R&D Manager at VMI 

Following these 3 presentations, collaborative face-to-face discussion groups will be organized around the following issues: Optimize industrial performance and environmental impact through the use of data.
