Master the regulatory news of cosmetic products in 2019

 COSMED is organising a day dedicated to French and European regulations for cosmetic products: The Regulatory Meetings on Thursday 21 March in Paris .
This event allows all professionals in the sector to learn about the latest regulatory news in the cosmetics sector, to exchange with the supervisory authorities and experts.
These Regulatory Meetings are aimed at business leaders, creators, regulators or those responsible for regulatory affairs, research and development, formulators, toxicologists, quality engineers, marketers, responsible pharmacists.
To facilitate the participation of all professionals in this day, Cosmed also provides the opportunity, for those who could not travel, to follow these meetings live, from   an office. 

A day to master the latest regulatory developments in cosmetics: 

  • Annual missions and balance sheets of the supervisory authorities
    The 2018 inspection review detailing recurrent non-compliance, checkpoints and areas for improvement will be carried out by Vanessa Picot - Cosmetics Inspector, Inspection Directorate - ANSM and Ambroise Pascal - Head of Office 5B, Health Products and Services and Personal Services - DGCCRF. The 2019 inspection campaigns will also be announced. In particular, the DGCCRF alerted Cosmed to increased vigilance on therapeutic claims, relations between subcontractors and Persons Responsible, and an interpretation of the specifics related to "no" claims that could also be under consideration... 
  • Work in progress and timetables for the Evolution of the European Commission
    Salvatore D'Acunto - Head of the GROW D.4 Unit - European Commission will present the topics under discussion at the European Commission: allergen labelling, omnibus regulation, animal testing and the availability of alternative methods, the EC's strategy on Endocrinian Disruptors. 
  • CMR: REACH evaluation process resulting in a harmonized, "omnibus"   classification impact on cosmetic supply and use, update   on substances topicalConstantin Dallot - Toxicologist and consultant - ATOUT REACH will provide concrete answers to all the questions raised by the steps of the CMR classification and the impact of the publication of the omnibus regulation. 
  • Safety report, presentation of COSMED Guidelines. The views of the VS experts expectations of the authorities.
    Good practices that fall under the evaluation and safety and the evaluator will be presented in tandem by a safety assessor and a Responsible Person. Corinne Bonoliel - Dr. Pharmacy, Microbiologist and Toxicologist ERT - Institut Scientis and Sandrine Hodonou - Dermocosmetic Regulatory Affairs Manager - Nigy Laboratories will detail the Guidelines for Good Practices for the Safety of Cosmetic Products published by Cosmed. The guidelines are designed to clarify European regulatory requirements and to propose a harmonised reading of certain points that are potentially open tointerpretation.  
  • Good Manufacturing Practices, zoom in on raw   material quality management and packaging items...This theme is a recurring non-compliance raised by the supervisoryauthorities. Céline Colineaux - Consultant Manager - Strategiqual will detail the requirements to be met when receiving raw materials. 
  • Brexit: Exit or transition phase, what impacts?
    With Brexit expected in just three months, and the last vote of the British Parliament rejecting the agreement between Theresa May's government and Europe, all the impacts for the cosmetics sector will be addressed by Elodie Guenzi - Cosmetic Export Affairs Officer - London Office - Business France.
  • Practical cases around labeling: Practical impossibilities, updating of the INCI list by glossary report, claims, DIY, e-commerce Stéphanie Garrel - Regulatory Affairs Officer - COSMED , will take stock of the main questions raised by Cosmed members concerning the labeling of cosmetic products: lack of space, differences between sales networks, practical impossibility, DIY (CLP ... ), the glossary of ingredients ... 
  • Cosmetic applications: Decryption of their success, their future, the possible options for industry. Jean Marc Giroux - President - COSMED , will conclude the day on applications
