Marie-Andrée Gamache has been appointed General Manager of Pierre Fabre Laboratories' Medical Care Division. In this capacity, she joins the Pierre Fabre Laboratories Management Committee and reports to Eric Ducournau, Group CEO.
Canadian-born Marie-Andrée Gamache has been working in the pharmaceutical industry for over 25 years. She has held a variety of management positions at national, regional and global level, in Europe, North America, Asia, the Middle East and Africa. She has extensive experience in management and P&L positions, with expertise ranging from pipeline to commercialization.
Prior to joining Pierre Fabre Laboratories, Marie-Andrée was CEO of Novartis for the UK and Ireland. Prior to that, she joined Novartis in 2019 as Head of Oncology for the Middle East and Africa, after spending four years at Merck KGAA as General Manager in Belgium and Sub-Saharan Africa.
In 2024, Pierre Fabre Laboratories' Medical Care business achieved sales of 1.3 billion euros, divided between oncology (39 %), dermatology (15 %), chronic diseases (26 %) and family health (13 %). Marie-Andrée's main priorities will be to maintain the momentum of the oncology portfolio, via new indications and territories, to optimize sales and profitability of the rest of the Medical Care portfolio, and to prepare for the next decade by overseeing the development of the R&D pipeline in precision oncology, medical dermatology and rare diseases.
