Double news for Firmenich's Fine Fragrance entity

Firmenich, a global specialist in fragrances and aromas, has announced the arrival of Robin Mason as President, Fine Fragrance North America, and Bruno Jovanovic as Senior Perfumer.

Robin Mason's arrival will be operational on June 14, 2021. Robin Mason will lead Fine Fragrance's operations in this area, responsible for creation, sales, marketing, fragrance development and technical development as well as innovation.

Prior to joining Firmenich, Robin Mason spent four years as Senior Vice President of Shiseido and Global SVP perfumes for Tory Burch, then Shiseido's new license. It has developed winning marketing strategies for the U.S. market for a growing portfolio of luxury brands; These include Dolce and Gabbana, Ferragamo, Hermès, Issey Miyake and Narciso Rodriguez, as well as Tory Burch Beauty's global strategy and product developments. Prior to that, Robin Mason served eight years as Senior Vice President of Global Marketing for Elizabeth Arden, after 12 years at Estée Lauder Companies, moving up the ranks of senior marketing and sales positions. Robin Mason began his career in the executive training program at Macy's.

Bruno Jovanovic, Senior Perfumer

Firmenich's Fine Fragrance team also welcomes Bruno Jovanovic as Senior Perfumer.

With more than 20 years of experience in fine fragrance, Bruno Jovanovic is renowned for his concise and sophisticated writing, based on unique ingredient combinations.

"We are constantly working to raise creativity to the highest level and we are delighted that such a talented perfumer is joining the large Firmenich family," said Ilaria Resta. Bruno's appointment once again illustrates Firmenich's commitment to creative excellence and its ability to create new signatures of reference through an organization geared towards perfumers. »

Jerry Vittoria added, "Bruno's career spans two decades and includes some of the world's most prestigious fragrance launches. His dedication to the art of perfumery goes hand in hand with his intellectual approach to creation; its strong signatures are highly appreciated by its peers and adored by consumers. »

Born in France, Bruno Jovanovic has been fascinated by smells, perfumes and odorous materials since his earliest childhood. During his studies at the Lycée Condorcet, he discovered the vast selection of perfumes sold in Parisian department stores and realized that he wanted to become a perfumer. After graduating from Pierre and Marie Curie University with a bachelor's degree in Physics Chemistry, he joined the Isipca school of perfumery, from which he graduated with honors.

After graduation, Bruno moved to New York where he joined IFF to continue twenty years of work between New York and Paris, with creations that have risen as world bestsellers. Among its many perfumes, some have become essential references for brands such as Hugo Boss, Coach, Paco Rabanne, Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Frédéric Malle and Armani. Bruno sees his profession as a true vocation where each of his works expresses his know-how as well as his own sensibilities.
