Mane is creating an experimental garden at «La Rose St Jean» for perfume plants

The Group Mane and farmer Sébastien Rodriguez are planting an experimental garden on the site of «La Rose St Jean» in Grasse, dedicated to studying iconic varieties from the Grasse region and developing hybrids.

Agricultural Research and Plant Material Conservation

The garden will serve as an observation site for agronomy teams, who will study growth cycles and the composition of aromatic compounds in relation to soil, climate, and farming practices. Regenerative agriculture practices will be tested to restore soil fertility, increase biodiversity, and strengthen crop resilience to climate change.

In-situ extraction and the Jungle Essence device

A mobile laboratory set up in the fields will enable the extraction of essences from freshly picked plants. The E-Pure Jungle Essence system and the Jungle Kit will be used there to explore new scent profiles directly on site and highlight the diversity of the harvests.

The partnership brings together Mane and Sébastien Rodriguez, a farmer and co-founder of the association Les Fleurs d’Exception du Pays de Grasse, with a focus on research, knowledge transfer, and botanical experimentation.

«This experimental garden embodies Mane’s commitment to passing on expertise, fostering innovation, and preserving the natural resources of our region.» says Samantha Mane, president of the Mane Group. For her part, «This experimental garden embodies Mane’s commitment to passing on expertise, fostering innovation, and preserving the natural resources of our region.» Samantha Mane, President, Mane Group.

«For 25 years, I have been passionate about fragrance plants, always striving to respect the land and preserve our heritage.» Sébastien Rodriguez adds: «For 25 years, I have been passionate about fragrance plants, always striving to respect the land and preserve our heritage.»
