The Berkem group opens a new chapter with its B72 building, a crucial step in strengthening its position in plant-based active ingredients for cosmetics and nutraceuticals.
In the Dordogne, plant-based chemistry specialist Groupe Berkem is expanding its horizons with the commissioning of its brand-new B72 building. This 530 m² site is designed to double production of floral waters and improve plant extraction capacities by 25 %. As Cédric Roubertie, the Group's Industrial Director, explains: «It's part of our commitment to excellence.« Building B72 symbolizes our determination to make long-term investments in our production facilities to meet customer demand, while reinforcing our industrial excellence. "
Sustainable production at the heart of our strategy
This new building is not only a technical advance, but also a strategic choice. It strengthens the Berkem Group's Health, Beauty & Nutrition division, dedicated to the development of natural active ingredients for the cosmetics and food industries. The group remains true to its values of local sourcing, while developing sustainable partnerships, a commitment illustrated by modern ecological facilities. Indeed, the building includes cleaning-in-place (CIP) equipment that greatly reduces water consumption. Beyond the numbers, this initiative is rooted in a responsible approach to the environment.
Acknowledging the ecological transition, the Berkem Group is asserting its position as an environmentally-friendly player. Thus, by adorning the B72 with colorful installations by Jean Rooble, the group is adding a strong signal to its aesthetic value.
