Cosmed mobilizes cosmetics companies in the South of France around CSR issues

Cosmed, the professional association for the cosmetics industry in France, is organizing the next meeting of its Cosmetopôle Provence-Côte d'Azur on Thursday May 15, 2025, at the Écoparc in Carros (06).

The theme of this 26th edition: "Innovation & collaboration: building the cosmetics of tomorrow". From a CSR perspective, speakers will highlight the industry's key challenges: water, biodiversity, the circular economy and energy.

Some 50 companies will be present, including some of the region's leading cosmetics companies: Corima Health Beauty, Exsymol, Accurconsulting, Aromaplantes, Pulpe de Vie, Seppic, Laboratoire Odost, Virbac, Sofia Cosmetiques, Lipoid, Arkopharma, Innov&Sea, Givaudan, Naos, Laboratoires Blc Thalgo Cosmetic, Nutravalia, Bougie et Senteur... and many others.

Environmental transition and industrial performance

The day will provide an opportunity to reinforce the sector's collective commitment to more responsible, sustainable cosmetics.

Participants will discover Arkopharma Laboratories' expertise in plant extraction applied to cosmetics. A guided tour of the facilities will highlight the innovative processes developed to create natural, effective cosmetics.

The afternoon will be devoted to collective intelligence workshops to tackle the environmental challenges facing the cosmetics industry and identify together the most relevant levers for action. These sessions - designed to facilitate the sharing of best practices - will encourage direct exchanges between participants:

  • Water: Reducing and optimizing consumption in manufacturing processes
  • Biodiversity: Impact of formulas and improved sourcing practices
  • Circular economy: Strategies for reducing and recovering industrial waste
  • Energy: optimizing consumption and transitioning to renewable energies

A booming regional dynamic

Cosmed points out that the sector's continued growth, both in terms of the number of companies and jobs, illustrates a particularly dynamic ecosystem, structured around a variety of players: own brands, subcontractors, suppliers, laboratories, design offices and support structures.
