Manufactured at the Ploemeur site in Brittany, ImerCare MicaSilk meets growing consumer demand for cosmetics based on natural, sustainable minerals. Derived from a natural 100 % mineral source, it is not treated with chemicals during manufacture and is Cosmos approved.
Derived from an innovative production process, this mica features an optimized particle structure that gives pressed and loose make-up powders a soft, creamy talc-like texture, as well as a subtle combination of transparency and softness.
Thanks to its high lamellarity index, it exhibits excellent cohesion in pressed powders, while its high oil absorption capacity ensures a long-lasting matte effet. Ideal for pressed powders, loose powders, eyeshadows and blushes, it offre an alternative for formulators seeking talc-like softness. According to Imerys, independent tests comparing ImerCare MicaSilk to talc in a pressed powder formulation, confirmed similar performance in terms of softness, cohesion, adhesion, transparency and matte effet.
