Dosing in processes: extraordinary filigree screws

Eichenberger's remarkably long, ultra-thin screws, integrated into the pipettes of the latest high-tech dosing and analysis systems, meet the highest performance requirements.

The pace of development in the life sciences is breathtaking: new technologies now make it possible to do things that seemed unthinkable just a few years ago, such as analyze the human genome. Intelligent dosing and analysis processes are becoming increasingly important everywhere, especially in medical technology. Even the smallest deviations in laboratory technology can lead to serious quality shortcomings. The field of medical and laboratory technology therefore continually places new and unusual demands on the dimensions and quality of mechanical drive elements. This is why Eichenberger Gewinde develops thread forms that go beyond the norm.

Double-threaded displacement screws specially designed by Eichenberger Gewinde for dosing and analysis systems, with a diameter of 3 mm, a length of 185 mm and a pitch of 1 mm, ensure that the process runs smoothly. In addition to precision, efficiency is of crucial importance when taking samples. The perfectly matched screw pitch enhances the dynamic movement of the syringes, which are guided by a totally reliable control and measuring unit. Outstanding sliding properties with a coefficient of friction of less than 0.1 ensure minimal abrasion and quiet operation. Fine threaded rods guarantee G5 pitch accuracy (< 0.023 mm / 300 mm). Eichenberger's small, robust displacement screw, suitable for cleanrooms, was manufactured using the cold rolling process, which also emphasizes the cost factor. It is the opposite of the more expensive ground screws. In addition, the compressed, "roll-smoothed" surface offers a considerable increase in robustness, which is absolutely essential where longevity requirements are high.
