Organic Monitor becomes Ecovia Intelligence

The newly announced name, Ecovia Intelligence, marks the expansion of the Organic Monitor organization's activities.

Organic Monitor was created in 2001 with the mission to support operators in the organic industry with business intelligence. During the first decade, the company expanded to different sectors related to the organic industry such as food, health products, natural care products, fair trade and ethical products. The range of services has expanded to include market research, business consulting, technical research, and seminars and workshops.
Over the past 8 years, the organization has organized a number of sustainability "summits" in Europe, North and Latin America and the Asia-Pacific region. These summits have brought together key players to address pressing sustainability issues facing the food, cosmetics and cleaning products industries.

This new name represents a new chapter in the growth of the organization as Amarjit Sahota, founder and president, comments: "Ecovia Intelligence will continue to promote sustainability in our specialty industries. Organic, the most sustainable form of agriculture, is an essential part of our DNA and will continue to be the key element."
