Stoelzle Masnières Parfumerie signatures: Orange Smoke and Sur ma Peau by Dries Van Noten - Puig

Sustainable packaging from Stoelzle Masnières Parfumerie is the glass chosen for Dries Van Noten's new fragrances. Orange Smoke and Sur ma Peau are two new eaux de toilette by Belgian designer Dries Van Noten. The fragrances, with their fresh, luminous notes and long-lasting radiance, designed to be worn alone or layered on top of the Eaux de Parfum collection, are generously bottled in a 200 ml recyclable glass bottle.

Creative director of the brand that bears his name, Dries Van Noten joined the Puig Group in 2018. Passionate about flowers, which he has long cultivated in his Antwerp garden, he chose to collaborate with perfumers Annick Menardo for Orange Smoke, which combined the purity of an orange blossom with the mineral facet of incense, and Quentin Bisch for Sur ma Peau, a contrast between two strong sensations, bergamot and vanilla.

The Dries Van Noten & Stoelzle Masnières Parfumerie development teams continue to work together to meet new challenges:

- Fit the new "clockwork" type ring with notches already used for 100 ml EDPs.

- The engraving of the letters has been meticulously crafted to give the bottle an even more distinctive and exceptional character.

- Numerous lacquering adjustments were necessary to achieve the required level of precision. The shades overlap slightly in a gradation of colors. The fusion of these two opposing shades, which influence each other, had to be achieved without distorting them.

Glass bottles 100 % recyclable in 200 ml format.

Spherulite HA Ultimate, Givaudan Active Beauty's long-lasting microencapsulated hyaluronic acid (HA) dedicated to lip care.

Givaudan Active Beauty takes microencapsulation technology to the next level with the unveiling of Spherulite HA Ultimate, a sustainable wellness active capable of delivering high molecular weight (HMW) hyaluronic acid (HA) into the deeper layers of the skin using vectorization technology. Dedicated to lip care, Spherulite HA Ultimate demonstrates significant instant and long-term plumping benefits.

HA is widely used in ageing solutions as it plays a major role in skin hydration and firming. This compound is commonly used clinically as a filler for fine lines and wrinkles; however, the majority of consumers remain cautious about injections. Informed consumers who prefer to use skin care products formulated with HA now look for its concentration and other added values as a sign of effective performance.

Marina Egorova, category manager for Visuals and Vectorization at Active Beauty: " Spherulite's advanced microencapsulation technology enables HMW HA to be vectorized through multi-layer crystalline microcapsules. The non-ionic nature of the capsule enables it to better penetrate the upper layers of the skin to the target site of activity, where pure HA is slowly released for a long-lasting effect. What's more, Spherulite HA Ultimate's new formulation is highly sustainable, containing natural upcycled vitamin E and no preservatives. The product's natural origin content according to ISO 16128 is 100 %. "

The performance of Spherulite HA Ultimate has been certified by Raman spectroscopy measurement demonstrating penetration into the stratum corneum and epidermis down to 50 μm. The ingredient has also been clinically tested on women, demonstrating a significant improvement in the plumping effect, up to 12.4 % after 30 minutes and 21.4 % at D28.

Silab expands its biotechnology laboratory

Silab, world leader in the engineering of natural active ingredients, opens a new biotechnology laboratory, more ergonomic and better sized to meet strong demand.

A year after commissioning a second production line that quadrupled the production capacity of its yeasts, microalgae and bacteria, Silab is now dedicating a new, larger space to its biotechnology research laboratory, equipped with the latest technological advances. " This new layout was necessary to support the growing business generated by increased customer demand for biotech products. It is part of an overall program of 9 million euros invested over the last three years in biotechnologies, alongside industrial projects such as "comments Xavier Gaillard, Silab's Deputy Managing Director for Strategy.

The means are thus put in place to continue exploring the immense potential of various micro-organisms in order to develop innovative biotechnological raw materials for the production of high value-added natural active ingredients. Brigitte Closs-Gonthier, Silab's Deputy Managing Director for Innovation, adds: " We decided very early on to make biotechnologies a major strategic development focus, because we believe they represent a powerful lever for innovation. Indeed, the diversity of micro-organisms opens up an immense field of possibilities. Biomimetic approaches also make it possible to develop novel processes, such as bioguidance. This is a field in which much remains to be discovered, and which offers exciting prospects for the development of innovative new active molecules. "

Thanks to the internalization of all stages, from the research phase to the industrialization of micro-organisms, Silab offers ever more innovative biotechnological solutions, meeting today's major challenges of security, traceability and respect for the environment (sustainability of supplies). The company's objective is to continue to increase its share of natural active ingredients of biotech origin, which today represent 20 % of its catalog.

Superga Beauty positions itself on the upcycling in full service

Superga Beauty introduces its first line of products made for full-service upcycling. In partnership with the cosmetic formulation laboratory GBC, the 360-degree beauty provider innovates by offering premium skincare products formulated with a high rate of upcycling and an increased eco-responsibility approach.

The upcycling to go further in the ecoresponsible approach

Upcycling is the process of reclaiming materials intended to be discarded to create higher quality products or objects. The "waste" is transformed and premiumized or diverted. It is adorned with new and valuable functions. Big names in the beauty industry as well as suppliers have taken up these issues, which meet the current expectations of consumers in search of naturalness and meaning. Superga Beauty affirms its will to be a precursor of this paradigm shift by proposing to brands a full service offer of upcycling cosmetics and care products.

A skincare line with over 85 % of upcycling ingredients

Our goal at Superga Beauty is to move the needle and open up new areas of eco-friendly and creative possibilities for brands. Currently, when formulas incorporate ingredients from upcycling, it is at minimal levels. With our French partner, the GBC laboratory, we wanted to mark a major evolution and define a core formula almost entirely derived from upcycling. The first challenge was to identify the source of water. The second was to integrate it into sensorial, effective and stable formulas. This is the achievement of the GBC laboratory. Of course, we didn't stop there! The entire range is designed in terms of an ecological approach, right down to the accompanying kit, which is made from transformed jeans scraps. "explains Leslie Bréau Meniger, President of Superga Beauty.

With this upcycling approach, Superga Beauty pushes the cursor of eco-responsibility further and allows brands a new positioning. They can combine, via the full service offer, formulas with a high rate of upcycling and significant advances in terms of ecological approach.

With GBC, Superga Beauty has developed a first range of three apple-based facials: the Gala mask, the Golden serum and the Granny gel.

Each product is composed of a minimum of 95.4 % of naturally derived ingredients, 88.3 % of upcycling ingredients and 50 % of water from the dehydration of the fruit (upcylated).

The reuse and recovery of water from fruit dehydration is an innovative technical achievement and opens the way to significant water savings in a water-intensive industry.

We have created an upcycled range with sensorial and effective formulas that do not compromise on pleasure. The result is a true beauty routine for a radiant complexion. This full service range is a demonstration of our expertise. It can be adapted to fit into our clients' catalogs "completes Leslie Bréau Meniger.

The combined expertise of Superga Beauty and GBC is aimed at all brands wishing to offer their customers new ranges of upcycled products, and pushes, further, the limits of eco-responsibility.

Fleur Phelipeau, founder of the nutricosmetics brand D-LAB, opens a 2700m2 green factory in the heart of Allier

A pioneer in France in the beauty food supplement sector, with over 10 years' experience in the market, D-LAB now lovingly manufactures and packages its products in its own green factory in St-Bonnet-de-Rochefort in the Allier region. It's a new challenge and an achievement for Fleur Phelipeau, a 38-year-old entrepreneur with the same obsession: to offer the best for the body and the planet!

A benchmark in the dietary supplements sector since 2009

Since launching D-LAB in 2009, Fleur Phelipeau has come a long way: she now heads up 5 nutricosmetics brands (D-LAB, Birdie, Claude Aphrodisiacs, Phyto Factory and Révèle) generating annual sales of 7 million euros, and now runs her own factory!

The secret behind the success of these brands? Natural, highly effective formulas, synthesizing the very best in plant extracts. In addition to its 100% clean formulas made in France, D-LAB has been paying particular attention to its environmental impact for many years, choosing recyclable packaging and certified printers.

D-LAB Industry: a new-generation green factory

Fleur Phelipeau invested 4.2 million euros to create the factory of her dreams, offering green, innovative and positive-impact 100 % industrial production: a first in the French dietary supplements sector. She chose the Vichy region as a return to her roots (her parents ran the Thermes) and the opportunity to create a virtuous ecosystem in the region: the plant is located within the Naturopôle Nutrition Santé in Saint-Bonnet de Rochefort.

Freshly inaugurated and already in production, the plant employs some thirty people, almost all of them urbanites who chose to join the adventure by setting up in the Allier region. D-LAB Industry concentrates the entire food supplement creation and production chain in a single location: from R&D and regulatory services to manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, marketing and shipping.

Respectful construction

Designed down to the smallest detail to be as environmentally friendly as possible, nothing was left to chance in either its construction or its operation:Virtuous work: extraction was carried out directly on the Naturopôle, and transport of materials was kept to a minimum (less than 150 km).

Zero waste: raw materials stored in reusable drums, composting of organic waste, no disposable equipment, green laundry inside the plant, water fountains, animals on site (chickens, sheep, etc.).

Water savings: rainwater harvesting from the roof (in tanks) and installation of "noues" (ditches to retain and convey rainwater), mechanical cleaning, communal laundry...

Creation of green energy: solar panels on the roof, choice of high-performance insulating materials to reduce thermal inertia, low-consumption light fittings, lighting system that follows circadian cycles...

Short-distance sourcing: most of the plants used to formulate our supplements are grown locally (within a radius of less than 15 km).
