Byredo: a new look thanks to FaiveleyTech

Swedish luxury perfume house Byredo has entrusted FaiveleyTech with the production of the cap for its new creation, Mojave Ghost Absolu de Parfum. The part, made from Sulapac biocomposite material, combines aesthetics with a reduction in the product's environmental impact.

A special texture

FaiveleyTech is an international group of French origin, specializing in the injection molding of high value-added technical polymers for the demanding, selective and standardized markets of the beauty and health industries. Teams from its Beauty BU, working closely with their partner Sulapac, took up the challenge imagined by the creators of the Byredo perfume house: to reproduce the visual and textured effects of Japanese burnt wood on the cap of Mojave Ghost Absolu de Parfum, its new fragrance, to recall the authentic, raw character of the olfactory composition.

Byredo selected a biocomposite material formulated by Sulapac to reduce the use of fossil fuels and lower its carbon footprint. The result of careful engraving of the tooling, combined with mastery of the injection process, the rough, old wood texture was specifically developed for this project.

The cap and its magnetic components are assembled on a fully automated line, enabling positioning on the bottle by magnetization.

"FaiveleyTech is proud of this new exclusive project for Byredo. The teams came up with a daring and original project, which connotes craftsmanship and nature, from which we draw our inspiration. With great energy, we pushed the limits of our processes to the limit, and the result, in both fragrance and packaging, highlights the brand's original signature".said Beryl Tomaschett, Sales Manager at FaiveleyTech Orgelet.

Under the banner of eco-design

FaiveleyTech regularly collaborates with Sulapac, the Finnish company that invented the new biodegradable material that bears its name, to provide eco-responsible biomaterials that meet the functional and aesthetic requirements of brands, for ever more virtuous and qualitative packaging.

In addition to the antique wood effect created specifically for Byredo, FaiveleyTech and Sulapac offer a range of material grades and shades for a variety of functional applications.
