Crodarom expands its Chanac site

Crodarom, the Croda group's French subsidiary and manufacturer of plant extracts, is launching an initial 4.65 million euro investment program at its site in Chanac, Lozère (Occitanie region).
Work will be spread over 2 years, with the extension of the storage warehouse and laboratories, and the construction of a new administration building. From 2021, a second phase of investment of a further 2 million euros will begin to extend and redevelop the production area. With a current surface area of almost 4,000m² and around 70 employees, Crodarom plans to increase its workforce to almost 100 with an additional surface area of 2,200m².
Recognized as an 'industrial nugget', winner 2018 of the Entreprise de Demain category at the Trophée de l'innovation et de l'économie de Lozère, Crodarom is today a key player in economic development and innovation for the Occitanie region.
The Occitanie region, the Conseil Départemental de la Lozère and the Communauté des Communes Aubrac Lot Causse et Pays de Chanac believe in its international growth and are investing in the project with a €580,000 grant.

"Our local and regional institutions* have recognized Crodarom's innovative potential. We are delighted with this grant, which represents strong support for our business, employment and the economic development of Lozère." said Thierry MORIN, Crodarom Site Manager.

Committed to a strategy of Corporate Social Responsibility, the site extension is part of a drive to improve industrial performance while respecting ethical, social and environmental values. For this project, Crodarom is committed to :
- Enhance staff well-being by improving workspaces,
- Respect the environment by using environmentally-friendly materials and energy-efficient equipment.
- Supporting local development with 94% of the total amount of work granted to regional partners located less than 100km from the site (47% with artisans located in Lozère).
