Developed by Silab, Neolipyl is a natural repairing active ingredient derived from cornflower that rebalances the lipid matrix of dry skin. Combined with retinol on normal skin, it also limits the undesirable effects of this molecule and supports its cosmetic benefits.
The lipid matrix ensures the skin's protective action against external aggressors. Drawing on its dual expertise in omics technologies (lipidomic studies) and optical biopsies, Silab has developed an unprecedented modeling study to establish the lipid signature of dry skin: the results show a weakening in the composition and structure of the lipid matrix.
Tested on this model, Neolipyl rebalances this lipid matrix: epidermal lipid synthesis is restored, and their conformation and organization are optimized.
Comprehensive repair action
Silab indicates that by targeting the lipid disorders of dry skin, Neolipyl restores the integrity of the cutaneous barrier. These effects translate into benefits observed on dry Caucasian and Asian skin after 14 days of twice-daily application: microrelief is smoothed, and skin hydration and comfort are improved. Comparative studies have demonstrated niacinamide-like efficacy.
Neolipyl is also an asset when using retinol on normal skin. Formulated in association with this molecule, the active ingredient limits its undesirable effects (dryness, discomfort, redness, etc.), without altering its anti-wrinkle efficacy. Neolipyl also significantly improves retinol's beneficial effect on complexion radiance.
A certified organic raw material
Neolipyl has been developed from the flowering tops of the cornflower, a raw material sourced from certified organic farms in France. The proline-rich peptide fraction was extracted using a natural enzymatic engineering process.
A patented active ingredient recommended for all skin barrier care products at a dose of 0.5 to 2 %, it is available in an easy-to-formulate aqueous solution. It complies with biodiversity regulations, has a natural origin content of 100% (ISO 16128) and complies with international cosmetics regulations (Europe, USA, China, Japan, etc.).
