TechnicoFlor unveils Global ScenTrack to calculate the carbon footprint of fragrances

In a reinforced commitment to sustainability, TechnicoFlor introduces a pioneering method, Global ScenTrack, for assessing the carbon footprint of fragrance formulas, marking a significant step forward for the perfume industry.

TechnicoFlor launches a pioneering initiative with Global ScenTrack, a tool designed to precisely measure the carbon footprint of fragrance compositions. This development is part of an active response to the growing environmental criticism of the beauty industry.

The tool is not only a footprint calculator, but also a verifier of the reliability of the data collected, a step towards greater transparency in the sector's environmental practices. In collaboration with Carbone 4, an expert in corporate decarbonization, TechnicoFlor has developed its own method to ensure that its calculations comply with the high standards it has set itself.

With this tool, we help our suppliers to generate data that they would not otherwise be able to retrieve. And it's all free of charge: our common goal is to move towards a more responsible perfumery. »says Christophe Mangalte, CSR Director at TechnicoFlor.

Global ScenTrack not only meets contemporary sustainability expectations, but also international guidelines such as those of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and the Paris Agreements, covering the three significant scopes of greenhouse gas emissions.
