TNT Group manufactured the signature zamak hood from the collection «Precious Essences» from Stendhal, designed to celebrate the brand’s 80th anniversary. The hood was produced as a one-of-a-kind piece, with the design adapted to stay true to the original creative vision.
One-piece construction
TNT Group rose to the technical challenge of producing this sculpted, one-piece cover by adapting the original design. The play of light on the golden petals creates a continuous shimmer, paying homage to the six chapters of the collection, each built around an iconic ingredient.
Properties of Zamak and Finishes
The cover is made of zamak, an alloy of zinc, aluminum, magnesium, and copper. This material, which is die-cast, allows for the creation of complex shapes while offering excellent mechanical and physicochemical resistance. The brand name is engraved on the base of the cover, highlighted by a subtle groove.
The source also highlights the quality of the detail rendering on this gold hood: «Gilded, heavy, and stately, this hood stands out as a true work of art. Its floral design, inspired by the lily bud—the symbol of Florence, a city dear to Stendhal—evokes both delicacy and power, the House’s iconic signature.»
Zamak was chosen for its tactile and aesthetic qualities, as well as its recyclability: the material is said to be infinitely recyclable without losing any of its properties, making it a viable option for premium components in the fragrance industry.
Finishing and Engraving
The brand name is debossed at the base of the hood, and a subtle groove highlights its presence, contributing to the piece’s overall aesthetic and identity.
The collection consists of six bottles numbered I through VI—I Oud Sublime, II Rose Insolente, III Ambre Enigmatique, IV Iris Radieux, V Santal Précieux, VI Néroli Céleste—each featuring a cap sculpted in the shape of golden petals.
