As part of its "Verescence 2022 – Forming The Future" strategy to make the group the global benchmark in the sustainable beauty market, Verescence announces the launch of a new glass composition, Infinite Glass 20, aimed at increasing its PCR1 glass production capacity worldwide.
Pioneer in the use of PCR glass for many years with Infinite Glass 40, Verescence launches a new glass composition, Infinite Glass 20. This new formulation combines 20% PCR and a glass shade adapted to the aesthetic requirements of luxury brands. Already produced in France and Spain, this glass composition will be gradually deployed in the United States in the first quarter of 2022, then in South Korea in 2023.
"Since September 2021, our largest oven in France and our Spanish oven only manufacture this composition. It is thanks to the commitment of our major customers that Infinite Glass 20 becomes Verescence's standard glass composition. This is a paradigm shift in the perfumery-cosmetics sector that we are proud to support for sustainable luxury," comments Thomas Riou, CEO of Verescence.
"We have invested more than €1 million to adapt our furnaces to the production of recycled glass, which also contributes to the reduction of our CO2 emissions (5% reduction in emissions). Worldwide and from 2022, nearly 75% of our production will be composed of PCR glass,"adds Alain Thorré, CSR Director of Verescence.
