The biotech startup Biolie is launching HydroBlue, an aqueous extract of spirulina for the cosmetics market.
Micro-algae cultivated in France in an open basin, spirulina is well known in the food supplement market for its health benefits. In cosmetics, spirulina provides a natural blue color. HydroBlue therefore makes it possible to develop natural light blue or pastel blue formulas, despite some technical implementation constraints.
Biolie is a white biotechnology company, created in January 2012. It uses a technology of clean extraction of oils and plant active ingredients, without solvent, based on water and enzymes.
