Technature acquires the business of Laboratoires Science et Mer

Dirinon-based Technature, a specialist in cosmetic masks, has announced the acquisition of Laboratoires Science et Mer in Le Relecq-Kerhuon, a leading manufacturer of cosmetic products for the thalassotherapy industry, thus forming a single Technature entity.

All subcontracting activities (manufacturing and packaging) have been resumed without interruption.

The combination of Technature's worldwide presence (in over 40 countries) and its constant research into innovation, with the know-how of Laboratoires Science et Mer, whose plant is just a few kilometers away, will create an immediate synergy and offer its customers the best of both companies, but will also strengthen Technature's position in the BtoB cosmetics market.

Two production sites at the tip of Finistère...

With this takeover, Technature now has over 110 employees, doubling its production capacity from 4,500 m² to 8,500 m² under cover. The Dirinon site, where the head office is located, will be dedicated to the manufacture and packaging of cosmetic powders (peel-off masks, body wraps, etc.), while the Le Relecq-Kerhuon site will produce white cosmetics (creams, gels, serums, hydrogels, etc.). This specialization by technology and the complementary nature of the two sites will ensure the level of expertise and innovation needed to meet customer expectations.

However, Technature chose not to keep the two Science et Mer brands, as it did not wish to become a competitor to its own customers. The Science et Mer Paris and Algoane brands have been taken over by another company.

The end of this year marks the coming together of two of Brittany's leading players in the world of cosmetics, who between them combine a quarter century of know-how and expertise...
