The program identifies 9 issues related to the company’s operations and breaks them down into 47 quantitative targets for performance or improvement, all of which are monitored annually. «With its new Actively Caring 2030 program, Silab »defines the framework for its development and is committed to upholding its values and sharing them with its entire ecosystem", says Jean-Philippe Cosson, Managing Director in charge of CSR at Silab.
A Balance Between Profit, People, and the Planet
Silab states that its commitment to sustainable development is based on a balance among three pillars: Profit, People, and Planet. The associated objectives are specified as follows: creating sustainable value, investing in the company’s stakeholders, and minimizing environmental impacts. This framework defines the operational scope of the roadmap.
A method based on dual materiality
The development of Actively Caring 2030 is based on a double materiality analysis and on the Sustainable Development Goals established by the’UN. Cosson explains: «Developed based on a dual materiality analysis and the Sustainable Development Goals established by the UN, this program is the result of cross-functional and methodical work with our employees and stakeholders throughout our value chain.» The company emphasizes measuring progress toward reducing its environmental impact.
The full program and progress toward each of the established goals are available on an eco-friendly website titled “Actively Caring.” This publication centralizes monitoring information, building on the annual monitoring announced for the 47 goals.
